LUKE 24:47

 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. - Luke 24:47

Sometimes I forget that part.  The "What" is so impressive that I miss the "Why." 

I mean the sacrifice You made to go to the cross - to even come here.  Pretty impressive.  Rising from the dead - very cool!  But, this whole time I've been focusing on the disciples reactions.  What did they feel?  How crazy it must have been to see You alive.  The emotions of losing a friend and then having Him come back.

That's part of it, but it's not IT!  You weren't doing this solely as an example for us, or just as a cool trick.  This had to happen so that we could have our sins forgiven and have a relationship with You.  This whole thing opened up our ability to have heaven on earth, to be able to hang out with You, to live in The Kingdom.  

It really wasn't the rising from the dead part that got You a little frustrated.  It was the disciples not realizing what all of this meant, wasn't it?  Because I missed that too!
