He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, - Luke 22:41
A stone's throw? So the disciples could see Him while He was praying. I wonder if they were watching Him or praying on their own. (Side note - I have a hard time praying while other people are around. I guess You did not have that same issue.). It does add a different wrinkle to what's coming next.
Also, I wonder why You didn't go further - really get away. Did You want them to see you pray? Did You enjoy their presence? Did You not even really think about it - were You just really wanting to talk to the Father?
I bet it was something to see though. I bet Your praying is a lot better than ours. And when I say better, I mean a lot more focused and like You know that You are communicating with God.
But, this was it. This was really about to go down. This would be Your last time to really connect with the Father.
