LUKE 22:38

The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords."

"That's enough!" He replied. - Luke 22:38

Why the exclamation point?  Was is like that's enough of this talk or that's enough swords?  I kind of feel like You were done with the conversation because the disciples just weren't getting it.  They were taking you literally (And, by the way, how did they come up with two swords so quickly?  Did people just have swords lying around that anyone could take?) when You were trying to tell them the biggest news in the history of the world.

I guess we get like that, or I get like that.  I want to get stuff done or I want to look productive.  So, I'll do things, go to work, plan, whatever.  Just so I can say, "Here are two swords."  I want to feel like I'm following what You said, but I'm missing the whole point.

Maybe if I wasn't in such a hurry to show that I was doing something, I might just get it!
