Luke 22:27

"For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves?  Is it not the one who is at the table?  But I am among you as one who serves." - Luke 22:27

Who is at the table?  The paying customer - someone who can afford the meal.  The higher rated person on the social scale.  The person who doesn't want to cook their own meal.  The one who wants to be served.

Maybe this is why I really don't like going out to eat where you have a server.  Part of it is because it's usually more expensive, part of it is because I like to get my own stuff, but maybe there is something inside of me that knows I should be the server.

I like how You put this - who is greater?  You ask it as if everyone knows that it's the person at the table, but then You say, "I am among you as one who serves."  Again, the goal is not to be served but to serve.
